A lease on the Black Swan was originally purchased by the current owner in 2004. The well known pub group “Punch” sold the freehold in 2009 and the Black Swan became a “free house”.

In between times the derelict stable block had been transformed into a restaurant and function room the kitchen rebuilt and refitted and the bar improved.

More recently, eight en-suite bedrooms have been added, all fitted to the highest standards. They are increasingly popular with business and leisure travellers in the area.

The Swan aims to be a pleasant and attractive village pub with well above average food, service and accommodation, all at reasonable prices.
